EEAW Awards of Excellence
Each year, the Environmental Education Association of Washington (EEAW) honors selected individuals and organizations in five award categories of excellence in environmental and sustainability education. These individuals need not be members of EEAW to be recognized. When calls for nominees are announced, individuals and programs are nominated by others and/or may self-nominate for award consideration. These awards are typically announced and presented at EEAW's annual conference.
Spotlight on ...
On behalf of the greater environmental and sustainability education community, EEAW would like to thank all of last year's winners and nominees for their passion, commitment and achievements. The EEAW Awards Committee reviewed many nominations for outstanding people and programs in 2008, which made the selection process very challenging. Each category had outstanding nominations, and it was difficult to narrow them down. Award winners selected in 2008 will be promoted on our site and nominees will be honored as well.
