You are cordially invited to attend this year’s Community Opportunities & Internship Fair hosted by Evergreen’s Academic Advising, Center for Community Based Learning and Action, and Student Employment offices.  Each year the Fair provides an opportunity for students and community organizations to make those vital connections.

Last year 88 host organizations and over 600 hundred students participated in the Fair.  Building on last year’s success we are again inviting organizations that offer internships, paid part-time employment, and/or volunteer positions.

This year’s Fair will again be held in lobby area of the Library building.  We will have organization tables set up in both of the Library’s second and third floor lobbies. Participation in the Fair is free!   However, space will be limited to the first 80 participants.

Registration deadline is January 18th. Please register early to hold your spot.

Since our event space is extremely limited, each participating organization will be assigned ½ of an 8 foot table top space (approximately four foot long by 30 inch deep section), at a shared table.  Please bring only materials that would fit in that assigned space.  Large table-top displays are not suitable for this event. We welcome one or two representatives per organization and two chairs will be provided for each reservation.

You may wish to visit the website http://www.evergreen.edu/tour/gethere.htm to review the Evergreen Campus Map for the location of the Library building and the available parking lots.  You may purchase a $2 parking pass for the day at the parking booth indicated on the map near the main entrance.  This parking pass will allow you to park in lots B or C for the entire day.

Evergreen staff will be available at the Fair to discuss internships and community-based learning at Evergreen with students and organization representatives.

You must register directly through Evergreen’s Community Opportunities Database (CODa) and reserve your space by clicking on “Events” on the blue bar, then “Career Fair” on the green menu bar, then “Community Opportunities & Internship Fair”.  (See sample)

Registration deadline is January 18th.  If you have any questions please give us a call at 360-867-6395 or email me at: mcgeek@evergreen.edu

Hope to see you there!
