President proclaims June to be The Great Outdoors Month, encouraging all people to get outside and get involved in outdoor events.  The importance of our environment is made clear in his efforts to develop programs like mentoring programs for youth which would teach respect for the environment and create opportunities for service in our national parks.

"My Administration is working to connect America's youth with our treasured landscapes, which should be viewed as classrooms for environmental education and gateways to careers in natural resources."
